Vintage Made to Measure cabinet by Cees Braakman for Pastoe in teak - 1960s design
With its clean lines and clever layout, this Made to Measure cabinet is a wonderful example of the functional design that Cees Braakman and Pastoe became so famous for in the 1960s. Made of warm-toned teak and fitted with those signature anti-dust drawers - sleekly designed, with a practical yet stylish purpose.
The cabinet combines open and closed storage with a subtle asymmetry that makes the design exciting without excess. Two flap cabinets at the top provide access to a fresh white interior with lacquered shelves and fine compartmentalization, ideal for dishes, paperwork or curiosities. Below, you'll find three spacious drawers and a double-door cabinet section, perfect for anything you want to keep out of sight.
The top was recently professionally repainted, restoring the furniture's fresh look without losing the patina of the wood. Two of the handles have been replaced with custom printed replicas, matched in detail to the original shape, size and shine - barely distinguishable from the real thing. These handles are of our own making and are also sold separately, specially designed for restorations of Pastoe furniture.
A timeless statement that fits effortlessly into a modern or eclectic interior.
