Furniture restoration of Mid Century & Pastoe Furniture.
At Frümel, furniture restoration is all about character, craftsmanship and timeless beauty. We lovingly restore furniture from the 1950s-80s, with a special focus on designs by Pastoe and Cees Braakman. Every piece of furniture in our collection is carefully restored with respect for both the original design and modern techniques such as 3D printing.
What we mean by furniture restoration
Our approach combines traditional craft with innovative solutions. Consider:
Restoring original wood finishes
Reapplying authentic upholstery
Strengthening connections without visible interventions
Replacing missing parts via professional 3D printing, among other methods
We specialize in Pastoe furniture from the 1950s and 1960s, such as the Japanese series, birchwood series and U+N cabinet systems.
Restoration of own collection and selective commissioning
Although we mainly restore furniture from our own collection, in specific cases we also offer on-demand restoration - especially for design pieces by Pastoe. Thanks to our experience with 3D printed parts and built-in restoration, we can completely restore even rare or damaged models.
Want to repair Pastoe furniture yourself or replace a missing part? We also offer a selection of 3D printed parts that you can order separately.
