This mid-century coffee table by Česky Nábytek from 1962 embodies the understated elegance of Czech design from the early 1960s. A time when form and function naturally merged and even a coffee table was allowed to play a subtle leading role in the interior.

The warm ash wood gives the table its light, refined look. The slender, tapered legs create an airy silhouette, while the rounded corners add softness to the clean lines. The tanned glass top catches the light in an almost golden way. Underneath the glass is a newly applied fabric with a fine pattern, which adds depth and character like a hidden layer. The interplay of wood, glass, and fabric makes this coffee table rich in detail without ever becoming busy. Practical detail: the legs can be unscrewed from the top, making transport easy.
